Our programs are EASY TO USE
Phoenix Recycling is offering a School Recycling
Program designed specifically for all Winnipeg schools. This program has an
educational component which assists in teaching students and staff to recycle,
in addition to providing your school with recycling services. The components of
this program will assist everyone in your school to become better recyclers.
Specifically the School Recycling Program includes the following:
Pick-up Every 2 Weeks
Phoenix will pick up
your school’s recycling materials every two weeks.
Recycling
Training for Your School’s Recycling Coordinator
A member of our staff will visit your school and train your Recycling
Coordinator
in the art of recycling. We recommend that this person be a staff member
to allow for continuity in your recycling program year after year.
(Approximate time: 30 minutes.)
"Learn to Recycle" Workbook
Your school will have access to our "Learn to Recycle". This workbook
explains the recycling process and is designed to educate and teach
students proper recycling techniques. It can be used as is, or adapted
for your needs. It can be photocopied, in whole or in part, and handed
out to students.
Plant Tour
At your
request Phoenix will schedule a tour of our recycling plant for your
student body.
10 Cardboard Recycling Bins
For collection of your recyclable material. We supply the bags at no
charge.

The program begins in September to coincide with the
beginning of the School year, but we can start a school up at any time during
the year. Last year Winnipeg Schools on our program recycled over 120,000 lbs,
that saved 925 trees. Way to go Winnipeg.
