On the Road to Zero Waste – Go Green at the Office

We all try to reduce our footprint on the earth.  Your recycling efforts should not end when you leave home for the office.  We have an office recycling program that can help you reduce your waste and make a positive contribution to the environment.

Easy to use ”No Touch” System

We provide a no touch program which is perfect for the office environment.  No touch means that once an item for recycling  is placed in our recycling bins you, or your staff never have to touch it again.  Our uniformed, trained and insured drivers collect the recyclables from the Phoenix Recycling collection bins conveniently placed in your office.

Scheduled Pick Ups

With our service you can choose a pick up schedule that meets your needs.  We can provide service as often as every week and as infrequent as once every two months.  There is no need to call our drivers will arrive on schedule and empty your bins.  Of course, if your bins are full before your pick up date just call and we would be happy to provide you with an extra pick up as needed.

What you can Recycle at the Office

Our program covers the traditional items an office would generate such as:  office paper, newspaper, aluminum cans, tin cans, milk cartons and soft drink bottles.  If you have an item that you want recycled please call us and we will see if we can help you out.

Where is my stuff recycled? Are my pop bottles really made into carpet?

Yes they are!  We have a variety of recycling mills for the collected items.  Here are some of the cool things that are happening with the recyclables we collect right here in Winnipeg:

• Pop bottles are made into carpet and fleecy material for clothing
• Aluminum cans are made back into new aluminum cans
• Office paper is made into new office paper, construction paper, tissue (like Kleenex and toilet paper) and some is even made into roofing felt.
